The production of the Souverän® coat is subject to a complex process, because a striped piece of material is made from cotton material in many steps according to a recipe specially developed for Pelikan, which is then bent and then cut to shape with a diamond.
The gold-plated rings on the filling handle and cap are fitted with the utmost precision before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The piston fountain pen Souverän M800 has an 18-carat bicolor gold nib and is available in the nib widths EF, F, M and B.

The Souverän Tortoiseshell-White radiates a warm purity with the combination of golden elements, white parts and greenish-yellow elements. This series offers an unusual color combination.
Raden is a traditional Japanese decorative craft mainly used for lacquer ware and woodwork. Pelikan applies this wonderful craft to the technical base of its famous Souveraen M 1000.

How the chick got into the nest and when, how many? The traditional Pelikan company celebrated its 175th anniversary in 2013. To mark the occasion, a book was published tracing the development of the Pelikan brand.
